City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that an unvaccinated 70-year-old senior citizen is the lone newly confirmed COVID-19 case with 2 recoveries reported Tuesday.
Hence, there are now 28 active COVID cases with 4, 411 recoveries and 147 deaths since Dumaguete City was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to November 14, 2021.
The 2 new COVID-19 recoveries include a 10-month old baby and an 81-year-old grandmother who were released from hospital confinement.
Of the 28 active COVID-19 cases 18 are being monitored and handled by the City Health Office, 8 are admitted at Silliman University Medical Center, 1 is confined at ACE Doctor and another 1 is admitted at Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
