Survivors of the recent fire in Barangay Taclobo expressed their collective gratitude to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and the City Social Welfare Office for today’s release of the financial assistance to further help them recover from the tragedy.
According to Vicky Kitane, staff of Mayor Remollo, 6 house owners received P 10, 000 each, while 4 house renters/boarders were given P 5, 000 each from the city government.
Taclobo Punong Barangay Roger Bohol also thanked all the other private donors, who gave clothes, food and other supplies that helped alleviate the situation of the fire victims.
It was also learned that the victims also received construction materials from Barangay Taclobo so they could start rebuilding their homes.
Mayor Remollo promptly deployed social workers, even if it was a holiday, to attend to the needs of fire victims including distribution of food and basic essentials immediately after the fire incident as they were sheltered at the chapel.
