For the second time this week, no new COVID-19 case was reported by the City Health Office today except for the recovery of 11 patients who are now released from isolation.
Last Monday, Dumaguete City also recorded no new COVID case.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo confirmed that based on the results released Thursday the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 55 with 4, 372 recoveries and 146 deaths from January 30, 2020 to December 9, 2021.
Among the 11COVID patients who recovered include an 82-year-old senior citizen and 3 children as young as 1-year-old and another with leukemia.
The new COVID recoveries are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan [2], Batinguel [1], Buñao [2], Cadawinonan [2], Daro [1], Mangnao [2] and Poblacion [1].
The number of active COVID-19 cases confined in the hospitals dropped to 29% from a high of 36% a few weeks ago.
Of the 55 active COVID cases: 39 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 10 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 3 are admitted at NOPH; 2 are confined at ACE Doctors and 1 is admitted at Holy Child Hospital.
