City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirmed the arrival of another shipment of about 6, 300 Astrazenca COVID-19 vaccines for Dumaguete City this morning.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that the newly arrived vaccines and those already in the storage will be made ready in anticipation of the conduct of the 2nd National Vaccination Drive to dramatically increase the number of residents inoculated against the virus.
Also present during delivery of additional COVID vaccines this morning are Councilors Lilani Ramon, Michael Bandal, Manuel Patrimonio and Liga ng mga Barangay President Dionie Amores.
The City IATF’s Emergency Operations Center will be mobilizing to deploy enough health workers and volunteers to the vaccination centers that will serve the thousands of residents expected to join the 2nd national vaccination drive.
During the 1st national vaccination drive, close to 10, 000 residents were inoculated as workers and employees are not considered from their work provided that they present proof of vaccination to their respective employers.”
