The City Health Office has already started administering COVID-19 booster shots but only for those belonging to A1 category, who will be notified of their schedules accordingly.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that about 120, 209 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have already been administered by the Dumaguete City Health Office to 70, 083 eligible residents using Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Pfizer and the single dose Janssen jabs as of December 6, 2021.
These include the 68, 284 for 1st dose and the 1, 799 who were vaccinated using the single dose Janssen jabs for a total of 70, 083 residents.
One hundred fourteen (114) COVID-19 frontliners were already given booster shots.
Dr. Talla also disclosed that 1, 502 individuals received their COVID-19 jabs in the 3 vaccination sites at Pulantubig Gym, Foundation University Gymnasium and Robinson Place including those who returned to get their 2nd doses Monday.
Of the 70, 083 eligible residents vaccinated: 2, 755 are medical frontliners or (A1); 8, 193 senior citizens (A2); 9, 186 persons with comorbidities (A3); 17, 759 frontline personnel (A4); 23, 410 indigents (A5); 6, 820 belonging to the Rest of the Adult Population and 1, 960 Pediatric (12-17 years old) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
