A child with leukemia is among the 11 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today as 11 other patients, including 4 senior citizens, recovered today and shall be released from isolation.
There are 91 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 302 recoveries and 145 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present December 2, 2021.
Six of the 11 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness, 4 are close contacts of previous cases and 1 was swabbed for travel requirements.
The new confirmed cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay [2], Bantayan [1], Cadawinonan [1], Candau-ay [2], Motong [1], Piapi [3] and Poblacion [1].
Meanwhile, the 11 patients who recovered as of today are residents of Barangays Banilad [5], Buñao [1], Candau-ay [2], Piapi [2] and Taclobo [1].
Of the 90 active COVID patients: 60 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 13 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 12 are admitted at NOPH; 1 is confined at ACE Doctors; 3 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital and 1 is confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
