Five (5) senior citizens are among the 13 patients who recovered from COVID-19 but with 11 newly confirmed cases based on the latest release of swab test results Wednesday.
The patients, who have recently recovered from COVID-19, include an 89-year-old grandfather and other residents of barangays Banilad [1], Camanjac [1], Cantil-e [4], Daro [5] and Poblacion 5 [1].
There are 91 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 291 recoveries and 145 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present December 1, 2021.
The 11 individuals who are the latest confirmed COVID-19 cases reported by the City Health Office are residents of Barangays Balugo [3], Batinguel [1], Buñao [1], Candau-ay [2], Motong [3] and Talay [1].
Among the new cases are government employees, a senior citizen, a nurse, a caregiver and 2 children as young as 10-months-old.
Of the 91 active COVID patients: 64 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 13 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 9 are admitted at NOPH; 1 is confined at ACE Doctors; 3 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital and 1 is confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
