The City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, chaired by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, has mobilized health care workers and other government employees to augment the personnel assigned in the 3 COVID vaccination sites directly under LGU-Dumaguete to support the 3-day National Vaccination Drive dubbed Bayanihan Bakunahan from November 30 to December 1, 2021.
The 3 vaccination sites directly managed by City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla are Robinsons Place Dumaguete, Pulantubig Gymnasium and Foundation University Gymnasium with augmentation nurses from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
Five (5) other vaccination sites in Dumaguete City are also participating in the campaign namely Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital, Lamberto Macias Sports Complex, Silliman University Medical Center, Holy Child Hospital and Ace Doctors.
Residents who want to get vaccinated are advised to first register online to be included in the master list. Vaccination shall be on a first-come first-served basis.
City Adviser on Security Concerns and EOC Manager retired Police General Rey Lyndon Lawas inspected the various vaccination sites to ensure the orderly conduct of the activity in keeping with the local health protocols.
