The National IATF and the Department of Health authorized the delivery of 5, 600 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines for Dumaguete City, which arrived Monday.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla and City Adviser for Concerns on Security, Emergency Preparedness, Management and Response Retired Police Brigadier General Rey Lyndon Toledo Lawas, who represented Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, received the latest shipment of COVID-19 vaccines with Dr. Socrates Villamor of DOH Negros Oriental.
The newly delivered vaccines will be distributed and utilized in the 3 vaccination sites at Pulantubig Gym, Foundation University Gymnasium and Robinson Place.
The City Health Office reported that 52, 721 eligible city residents, including minors, have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of November 21, 2021.
