The City Health Office confirms that the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 103 after 2 patients have recovered with 5 new cases and 1 death reported Wednesday.
Four (4) senior citizens and a close contact of a previous case are the 5 new COVID-19 cases recorded today. The oldest of the new COVID cases is an unvaccinated 86-year-old grandmother who manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
There are now 103 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 200 recoveries and 141 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present November 22, 2021.
Meanwhile, the 27 new recoveries are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan [1], Batinguel [3], Camanjac [1], Candau-ay [2], Cantil-e [1], Daro [4], Junob [1], Mangnao [2], Motong [4], Piapi [3], Pulantubig [2] and Talay [3].
Of the 103 active COVID patients: 68 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 11 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 10 are admitted at NOPH; 5 are confined at ACE Doctors; 4 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital and 5 are confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
