A 99-year-old vaccinated grandmother is among the 10 new COVID-19 cases reported Thursday by the City Health Office along with 9 recoveries.
Presently, there are 141 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 133 recoveries and 140 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to November 18, 2021.
The 10 new COVID-19 cases include 4 close contacts of previous cases and 6 others who manifested Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that the 10 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan (1), Bantayan (1), Cantil-e (1), Daro (5), Motong (1) and Piapi (1).
Meanwhile, the 9 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of barangays Bagacay (1), Balugo (1), Banilad (1), Batinguel (2) and Taclobo (4).
Of the 141 active COVID patients: 104 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 9 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 11 are admitted at NOPH; 7 are confined at ACE Doctors; 3 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital and 7 are confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
