The City Health Office confirms that the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 140 after 26 patients have recovered with 6 new cases reported Wednesday.
The (3) members of the same household, 2 persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness and 1 close contact of a previous case are the 6 new COVID-19 cases recorded today.
There are now 140 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 124 recoveries and 140 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present November 17, 2021.
Meanwhile, the 26 new recoveries include 13 vaccinated individuals, 2 senior citizens and 3 children from Barangays Bagacay (1), Banilad (3), Batinguel (1), Buñao (6), Calindagan (2), Candau-ay (1), Daro (2), Mangnao (1), Piapi (3), Pulantubig (2), Tabuctubig (1), Taclobo (2) and Talay (1).
Of the 140 active COVID patients: 101 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 8 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 12 are admitted at NOPH; 6 are confined at ACE Doctors; 5 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 7 are confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 1 is presently outside of Dumaguete City.
