The City Health Office confirms 26 new COVID-19 cases with 12 recoveries reported Monday.
There are now 161 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 098 recoveries and 140 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present November 16, 2021.
Six of the 26 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness while 12 are close contacts of previous cases including several children and senior citizens.
The new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan (2), Balugo (1), Batinguel (3), Buñao (2), Candau-ay (2), Cantil-e (2), Daro (1), Junob (4), Poblacion 8 (3), Pulantubig (3) and Taclobo (3).
Among the 12 patients who have recovered from COVID-19 are 3 retirees, 2 BPO employees and students who are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1), Batinguel (5), Junob (1), Piapi (2) and Taclobo (3).
