City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms the recovery of 33 COVID-19 patients following the release of repeat swab RT-PCR test results today.
However, a new COVID-19 case, from Barangay Bagacay, was also confirmed today.
Thus, the total active COVID-19 cases dropped to 148 with 4, 086 recoveries and 140 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to November 15, 2021.
Among the 33 COVID-19 patients who recovered are 4 senior citizens, the oldest being an 88-year-old vaccinated grandmother; 7 children, the youngest a 1-year-old baby; 4 government employees and 3 health workers.
The newly recovered patients are residents of Barangays Banilad (2), Bantayan (4), Batinguel (5), Camanjac (4), Candau-ay (1), Cantil-e (1), Junob (1), Looc (1), Motong (2), Piapi (1), Poblacion 2 (1), Pulantubig (1), Tabuctubig (3), Taclobo (3) and Talay (3).
Of the 148 active COVID cases: 90 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 18 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 17 are admitted at NOPH; 6 are confined at ACE Doctors; 7 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 9 are treated at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 1 case is outside of Dumaguete City.
