The City Health Office reports 18 new COVID-19 recoveries with 17 new cases, Thursday.
Presently, Dumaguete City has 179 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 009 recoveries and 136 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present November 11, 2021.
The 18 new COVID-19 recoveries included a 75-year-old vaccinated grandmother with renal disease, and residents of Barangays Banilad (3), Batinguel (1), Calindagan (1), Candau-ay (3), Piapi (😎 and Taclobo (2).
Meanwhile, the 17 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bantayan (2), Batinguel (1), Daro (1), Junob (1), Looc (1), Mangnao (1), Motong (3), Piapi (2), Pulantubig (1), Taclobo (3) and Talay (1) who are now isolated with their close contacts subject to swab tests.
Of the 179 active COVID cases: 113 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 21 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 20 are admitted at NOPH; 4 are confined at ACE Doctors; 9 at Holy Child Hospital; 11 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital while 1 is outside of the city.
