City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports 26 new COVID-19 cases with 17 recoveries and 1 death confirmed Wednesday.
There are now 180 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 991 recoveries and 136 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present November 10, 2021.
Twenty-one (21) of the 26 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness, 4 are close contacts of previous cases and 1 was swabbed for travel.
Among the new cases are 6 children, 2 health workers and 2 senior citizens.
The 17 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (2), Bajumpandan (1), Banilad (2), Bantayan (2), Batinguel (2), Looc (1), Piapi (4), Poblacion 7 (1), Poblacion (😎 and Taclobo (1).
Meanwhile, the lone COVID-19 fatality is an employee of a national agency.
Of the 180 active COVID cases: 118 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 20 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 20 are admitted at NOPH; 3 are confined at ACE Doctors; 6 at Holy Child Hospital; 10 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital while 3 are outside of the city.
