Six children, including a 3-year-old baby, are among the 26 new COVID-19 cases with 18 recoveries and 1 death reported today.
There are now 172 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 974 recoveries and 135 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present November 9, 2021.
The new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1), Banilad (2), Bantayan (4), Batinguel (2), Buñao (5), Looc (1), Motong (2), Piapi (1), Poblacion 2 (1), Pulantubig (5) and Taclobo (2).
Meanwhile, the 18 patients who recovered from COVID-19 are residents of Barangays Bagacay (3), Bajumpandan (1), Bantayan (4), Batinguel (2), Calindagan (3), Piapi (1), Poblacion 6 (1), Pulantubig (1) and Taclobo (1).
A 69-year-old retiree is the lone COVID patient who died in the hospital today.
Of the 172 active COVID cases: 115 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 19 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 18 are admitted at NOPH; 3 are confined at ACE Doctors; 6 at Holy Child Hospital; 8 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital while 3 are outside of the city.
