The City Health Office reports a total of 196 active COVID-19 cases in 24 of the 30 component barangays as of Sunday, November 7, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that 64 or 32.6% of the 196 active COVID-19 cases are confined in the hospitals: 21 are admitted at Silliman University Medical Center; 24 are confined at NOPH; 3 at ACE Doctors; 6 are in Holy Child Hospital and 10 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
The remaining 132 active COVID-19 cases are handled and monitored by the City Health Office, including 4 who are outside of Dumaguete City.
Of the 196 active COVID-19 cases only 71 were confirmed to have been vaccinated against coronavirus and will be less likely to experience severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.
Only 6 barangays (Balugo, Cadawinonan, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 4 and Poblacion 5) reported zero active COVID-19 cases while 7 others are managing just 1 or 3 active cases.
