In line with the efforts to keep peace and order, uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police under the direct command of Acting Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson B. Parallag conducts regular checkpoints in various strategic areas of the Dumaguete City.
As reported in the recent City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col Parallag reported to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Chairperson Liga ng mga Barangay President Dionie Amores, the number of crime incidents that occurred in Dumaguete City dropped from 957 cases in January to October 2020 to just 652 for the same period in 2021 or by 31.87%.
Mayor Remollo commended PNP Dumaguete for the reduction in crime incidents and also acknowledged the cooperation of the members of the public for this accomplishment.
