Two senior citizens and a 29-year-old lady are among the 3 new COVID-19 cases as another 2 senior citizens succumbed to coronavirus reported on All Saints’ Day.
Dumaguete City has 205 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 800 recoveries and 122 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present November 1, 2021.
The 3 new COVID-19 cases include an 83-year-old unvaccinated grandfather in Barangay Daro, a 69-year-old vaccinated resident of Barangay Taclobo and a 29-year-old unvaccinated lady also from Barangay Daro.
Two COVID-19 patients, an 87-year-old dialysis patient and a 78-year-old grandmother died while confined in the hospital and in isolation. Both were cremated within the required period.
Of the 205 active COVID patients: 147 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 18 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 18 are admitted at NOPH; 2 are confined at ACE Doctors; 5 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 9 are confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 6 are presently outside of Dumaguete City.
