The City Health Office confirmed 45 new COVID-19 cases with 33 new recoveries based on the latest results of the swab tests.
There are now 247 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 701 recoveries and 117 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present October 27, 2021.
The new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (2), Bajumpandan (3), Banilad (1), Bantayan (6), Batinguel (4), Buñao (1), Camanjac (3), Candau-ay (3), Daro (2), Junob (6), Mangnao (2), Motong (1), Piapi (2), Poblacion 8 (1), Pulantubig (2), Taclobo (2) and Talay (4).
Among the new cases are 9 senior citizens, 6 children and 2 government employees including persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness and close contacts of previous cases.
The 33 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1), Banilad (3), Bantayan (1), Cadawinonan (3), Daro (2), Junob (1), Looc (2), Mangnao (4), Motong (1), Piapi 8, Poblacion 3 (1), Poblacion 6 (1), Taclobo (2) and Talay (2).
