Forty-three (43) COVID-19 patients, including 11 children and 4 senior citizens, have now recovered and shall be released from isolation.
But the City Health Office also confirmed 2 new COVID-19 cases from Barangays Bagacay and Daro today.
Presently, there are 242 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 648 recoveries and 115 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present October 25, 2021.
Of the 242 active cases, 117 or 48.3% are individuals who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and are expected not to experience severe or life threatening symptoms of coronavirus.
The 43 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of Barangays Bagacay (4), Bajumpandan (2), Bantayan (1), Batinguel (4), Buñao (1), Cadawinonan (4), Calindagan (2), Camanjac (1), Candau-ay (😎, Daro (1), Junob (3), Mangnao (2), Piapi (1), Pulantubig (1), Poblacion 1 (1) and Taclobo (6).
Of the 242 active COVID cases: 189 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 13 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 17 are admitted at NOPH; 8 are confined at ACE Doctors; 5 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 6 admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 4 are outside of Dumaguete City.
