City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports a total of 283 active COVID-19 cases in 27 of the 30 component barangays as of Sunday, October 24, 2021.

Fifty-three (53) or 18% of the 283 active COVID-19 cases are confined in the hospitals: 16 are admitted at Silliman University Medical Center; 18 are confined at NOPH; 8 at ACE Doctors; 5 are in Holy Child Hospital and 6 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital.

The remaining 230 active COVID-19 cases are handled and monitored by the City Health Office, including 4 who are outside of Dumaguete City.

Of the 283 active COVID-19 cases only 116 were confirmed to have been vaccinated against coronavirus and will be less likely to experience severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.

Only 3 barangays (Poblacion 2, Poblacion 5 and Poblacion 7) reported zero active COVID-19 cases while 7 others are managing just 1 or 2 active cases.
