Top officials of PNP Region-7 led by Regional Director Police Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega met with Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo yesterday to discuss the means on how to improve the peace and order situation in Dumaguete City.
Mayor Remollo disclosed that augmentation forces will be assigned to Dumaguete City to enhance the campaign against all forms of criminality.
General Vega was accompanied in his meeting with Mayor Remollo by the newly assumed Negros Oriental Police Provincial Director Colonel Germano P. Mallari, his predecessor Police Col. Glenn D. Mayam, City Adviser for Security Concerns Retired Police General Rey Lyndon Lawas, and Dumaguete City Acting Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson B. Parallag.
The new PNP Region7 Director was in Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental as part of his command visit to the different police stations and offices.
