Members of the Committee on Economic Enterprise, Trade and Industry conducted an ocular inspection of the stalls in the Public Market as they continue to formulate the proposed ordinance that will prevent the practice of illegal transfer and or sub-leasing of stalls.
Committee Chairperson Councilor Lilani Ramon led yesterday’s inspection with Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Councilor Michael Bandal, City Administrator Atty. Doram Dumalagan and Market Administrator Engr. Ronnie Fortin to strengthen the regulations in the public market to make certain that only legitimate stall holders are allowed to operate inside the complex with about 930 stalls in the 10 buildings and contribute to the economic viability of the facility as a major source of livelihood for small and medium entrepreneurs.
