The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reports a total of 217 active COVID-19 cases in 26 of the 30 component barangays as of Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Eighty-two (82) of the 217 active COVID-19 cases are confined in the hospitals: 19 are admitted at Silliman University Medical Center; 31 are confined at NOPH; 11 at ACE Doctors; 13 are in Holy Child Hospital and 8 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
The remaining 135 active COVID-19 cases are handled and monitored by the City Health Office, including 3 who are outside of Dumaguete City.
Of the 217 active COVID-19 cases only 85 were confirmed to have been vaccinated against coronavirus and will be less likely to experience severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.
Only 4 barangays (Cantil-e, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 4 and Poblacion 7) reported zero active COVID-19 cases while 7 others are managing just 1 or 2 active cases.

Bagacay (13), Bajumpandan (14), Balugo (2), Banilad (3), Bantayan (11), Batinguel (16), Buñao (5), Cadawinonan (13), Calindagan (6), Camanjac (7), Candau-ay (14), Cantil-e (0), Daro (19), Junob (15), Looc (2), Mangnao (13), Motong 8, Piapi (14), Poblacion 1 (2), Poblacion 2 (0), Poblacion 3 (1), Poblacion 4 (0), Poblacion 5 (1), Poblacion 6 (7), Poblacion 7 (0), Poblacion 8 (1), Pulantubig (7), Tabuc-tubig (7), Taclobo (11) and Talay (5).
