City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed 41 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths, Saturday.
Among the 41 new COVID cases are 6 senior citizens, 6 children as young as 2 years-old, 2 teachers, 2 employees of the provincial government, a bank employee, a pharmacy assistant and a patient who was swabbed prior to a surgery procedure.
Hence, from January 30, 2020 to October 16, 2021, Dumaguete City now has 160 active COVID cases with 3, 450 recoveries and 108 deaths.
The 41 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (3), Bajumpandan (1), Banilad (1), Bantayan (2), Batinguel (4), Buñao (2), Cadawinonan (4), Candau-ay (6), Daro (1), Junob (3), Looc (1), Mangnao (5), Motong (2), Piapi (2), Poblacion 3 (1), Pulantubig (2) and Taclobo (2).
The latest 4 fatalities reported today are senior citizens and persons with comorbidities, who died with COVID-19 while hospitalized.
