The City Health Office has already vaccinated 40, 015 city residents against COVID-19 as of October 12, 2021.
About 970 residents were vaccinated in the 2 vaccination sites, at Robinson Mall and Pulantubig Gymnasium last Tuesday.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that more supplies of vaccines will arrive for Dumaguete City that will help achieve herd immunity against COVID-19 sooner.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also disclosed that 34, 575 residents have already received complete doses of COVID vaccines Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm, Moderna and the single dose Janssen jabs.
Of the 40, 015 eligible residents vaccinated: 2, 613 are medical frontliners or (A1); 7, 538 senior citizens (A2); 8, 377 persons with comorbidities (A3); 12, 922 frontline personnel (A4) and 8, 538 indigents (A5) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
