The City Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports the measures and responses taken to control the spread of COVID-19 with the entry of the Delta and P.3 variants reported last September 26, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo that all the COVID patients infected with the delta and P.3 variants have already recovered and all contacts have been traced.
Among the COVID responses made include:
1. Strengthening of surveillance on newcomers in puroks and barangays;
2. Active case finding by City Health Office and BHERTs;
3. Intensified vaccination of eligible population;
4. Comprehensive contact tracing and swab testing;
5. Strict enforcement and apprehension of violators of minimum public health standards through deployment of health marshals and PNP personnel;
6. Inspection of establishments for safety seal certification;
7. Allocated budget for continuous provision of COVID-19 related needs for medical supplies, testing kits, equipment, etc.;
8. Continued provision of food packs and groceries to all quarantined/isolated families;
9. Continued screening of returning/incoming residents APORs prior to issuance of S-Pass;
10. 24-hour functional HEM/OPCEN/EOC and
11. Functional COVID Emergency Hotlines
