The City Health Office reports 39 new COVID-19 cases with 5 recoveries, Saturday.
Among the newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are 7 senior citizens, 3 children as young as 1 year-old and 29 others who are close contacts of previous COVID patients and those who manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
There are now 136 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 339 recoveries and 92 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present October 9, 2021.
Meanwhile, the 5 COVID-19 recoveries are vaccinated residents of Barangays Candau-ay (4) and Bantayan.
Of the 136 active COVID cases: 70 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 12 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 19 are admitted at NOPH; 12 are confined at ACE Doctors; 13 at Holy Child Hospital; 8 are admitted at Negros Polymedic Hospital while 2 are outside of the city.
