The City Council recently approved the request of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo for additional appropriation for monetization of leave credits and overtime pay and services for COVID-19 health workers amounting to P 1.7 million.
Councilor Lilani Ramon, Chairperson of the Committee on Finance and Appropriation, said that an additional P 1 million was allocated for monetization of leave credits and P 777, 860. 36 was appropriated for overtime pay for regular and casual plantilla doctors, nurses, midwives and drivers along with services rendered of Job Order nurses and Barangay Health Workers deployed in the COVID-19 vaccination sites.
Mayor Remollo said that the overtime pay will be provided to the concerned employees and health workers in recognition of their services in managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
