Six (6) health workers, 4 senior citizens and 5 children are among the 30 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and released from isolation today.
However, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also confirmed 27 new COVID-19 cases (7 close contacts, 18 individuals with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness and 2 swabbed for travel).
Hence, there are 146 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 179 recoveries and 84 deaths since the Dumaguete City was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to September 30, 2021.
The 27 new cases are residents of Barangays Bajumpandan (2), Banilad, Batinguel, Buñao, Cantil-e (2), Daro (2), Junob (3), Mangnao (3), Piapi, Poblacion 1 (2), Pulantubig (2), Taclobo (5) and Talay (2).
Of the 146 active COVID cases: 117 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 1 is currently outside of the city; 8 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 11 are admitted at NOPH; 3 are confined at ACE Doctors; 5 at Holy Child Hospital and 2 at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
