The Department of Labor and Employment is partnering with the City Government to increase the number of workers who will be vaccinated against COVID-19, specifically in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino, Kenrick Villaluz and Marites Mercado of the Department of Labor and Employment and PESO Manager Socorro P. Mira inspected the vaccination site at Robinsons Place Dumaguete where the workers were vaccinated under the “Reform, Rebound, Recover, the One Million Jobs for 2021.”
About 11, 504 under A4, the economic frontline personnel, have already been vaccinated by the City Health Office as of September 27, 2021.
Mayor Remollo has proposed the opening of another vaccination post to accommodate more residents and workers to accelerate the inoculation program to achieve herd immunity sooner and for the local economy to reopen safely.
