Dr. Socrates Villamor of the Department of Health assures that the supply of medical oxygen for critical COVID-19 patients confined in the different hospitals of Dumaguete City is adequate for now.
However, both Dr. Villamor and Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo believe that it is prudent for concerned authorities to prepare now than be sorry later if the number of COVID-19 cases surges as the hospitals in the city are also serving patients of the entire province and nearby Siquijor.
This concern was raised during Wednesday’s meeting of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases convened by the Mayor Remollo via zoom to get updates on the COVID situation of the city and discuss the guidelines and decisions on the upcoming observance of the All Soul’s Day, Charter Day celebration, 2021 Bar Examinations, Christmas Activities and travel advisory.
