The City Health Office reports 26 new COVID-19 cases, including a 91-year-old senior citizen, with 6 recoveries Thursday.
Dumaguete City now has 130 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 061 recoveries and 83 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present September 23, 2021.
Among the 26 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are 4 BPO employees, 4 senior citizens and several individuals exposed to members of the same households who earlier tested positive of the virus.
The 26 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (5), Bajumpandan (2), Banilad (2), Buñao, Camanjac (2), Candau-ay, Cantil-e (2), Daro (2), Looc, Piapi (3), Poblacion 4, Pulantubig (2) and Taclobo (2).
Meanwhile, the new COVID-19 recoveries are from barangays Banilad, Bantayan, Calindagan, Daro, Poblacion 2 and Taclobo.
