City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports 11 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases that include 3 senior citizens, 2 health workers, 2 BPO employees, 2 persons swabbed as travel requirement, a sales agent and persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Meanwhile, 9 COVID patients, including those with comorbidities in their 70’s have recovered and were released from isolation.
Hence, there are 110 active COVID-19 cases with 3, 055 recoveries and 83 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present September 22, 2021.
The 11 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bantayan, Cadawinonan, Calindagan, Camanjac (3), Daro (2), Piapi (2) and Talay.
Of the 110 active COVID cases: 79 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 16 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 5 are admitted at NOPH; 3 are confined at ACE Doctors; 4 at Holy Child Hospital; 3 at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
