City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that 34, 132 residents in Dumaguete City or 34% of the target population have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of September 18, 2021.
Last Saturday (September 18) alone, some 409 residents were vaccinated in the 2 vaccination sites, at Robinson Mall and Pulantubig Gymnasium.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has suggested the possible opening of an additional vaccination site to serve more residents that will help accelerate the inoculation against COVID-19 to achieve herd immunity.
Dr. Talla also disclosed that 23, 745 residents have already received completed doses of COVID vaccines Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm, Moderna and the single dose Janssen jabs.
Of the 34, 132 eligible residents vaccinated: 2, 484 are medical frontliners or (A1); 7, 386 senior citizens (A2); 8, 151 persons with comorbidities (A3); 10, 246 frontline personnel (A4) and 5, 865 indigents (A5) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
