City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas leads Health Marshals in their daily patrols for increased visibility and monitoring of violators of the minimum protocols with the confirmed entry of the more contagious delta variant of COVID-19.
Minors and the elderly are still prohibited from venturing out of their homes except for purposes of accessing essential needs and services.
The health marshals are also enforcing the mandate of wearing of face masks; physical distancing and prohibition on unauthorized mass gatherings.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and detained for defying the local health protocols and the 10:00 PM curfew.
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, City Administrator’s Office, Department Trade Industry, City Social Welfare and Development Office and Bureau of Fire Protection.
