Eleven (11) barangays reported zero active COVID-19 cases while 9 others are managing just 1 or 2 active cases as of September 5, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also reported to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that there are now 71 active COVID19 cases with 2, 892 recoveries and 80 deaths from January 30, 2020 to September 5, 2021.
A 79-year-old senior citizen was the only COVID-19 case reported on Sunday.
The following is the distribution of the 71 active COVID-19 cases which are now isolated and/or under treatment:
Bagacay (3), Bajumpandan (1), Balugo (0), Banilad (4), Bantayan (10), Batinguel (4), Buñao (0), Cadawinonan (3), Calindagan (0), Camanjac (1), Candau-ay (1), Cantil-e (3), Daro (6), Junob 8, Looc (1), Mangnao (2), Motong (11), Piapi (3), Poblacion 1 (0), Poblacion 2 (1), Poblacion 3 (1), Poblacion 4 (0), Poblacion 5 (0), Poblacion 6 (0), Poblacion 7 (1), Poblacion 8 (0), Pulantubig (0), Tabuc-tubig (1), Taclobo (6) and Talay (0).
Of the 71 active COVID cases: 44 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 11 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 10 are admitted at NOPH; 2 are confined at ACE Doctors; 2 at Holy Child Hospital and 2 are still outside of Dumaguete City.
