More business establishments have applied for COVID-19 Safety Seal certifications and are now subject to evaluation by the City Inspection and Certificate Committee. The Safety Seal Certification is free.
City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas led the team, Friday, in evaluating the compliance of several establishments to the health protocols against COVID-19.
Business establishments with Safety Seal Certifications are allowed an additional 10% in operational or seating capacity while Dumaguete City is still under General Community Quarantine with heightened restrictions.
Interested business establishments need to file the application for the conferment of the City Safety Seal at in accordance to the directive of the national government to increase the compliance of establishments with minimum public health standards set by the national government and to boost consumer confidence against the threat of COVID-19 and facilitate the gradual reopening of the local economy under the new normal.
