More business establishments have already been conferred with the Safety Seal certificates, Friday, by the City Inspection and Certificate Committee chaired by City Administrator Doram Dumalagan for being compliant to the minimum public health standards against COVID-19.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo earlier created the City Inspection and Certificate Committee Executive Order No. 9 to inspect the private and public establishments, to issue and or revoke the Safety Seal.
Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas formally conferred the Safety Seals to 8 establishments namely Don Atilano, Don Roberto, Essencia Resto, Famento Resto, Jollibee Citimall, Chowking Citimall, Boy Kanin and Galing Kape.
Business establishments with Safety Seal Certifications are allowed an additional 10% in operational or seating capacity while Dumaguete City is under General Community Quarantine with heightened restrictions.
In accordance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-053, the Committee will inspect the establishments to ascertain if they complied with the required minimum health standards to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in their premises.
