Personnel of the City Health Office and medical volunteers have already vaccinated 24, 138 eligible residents as of August 24, 2021.
About 638 eligible residents were vaccinated today in the 2 vaccination sites at Robinson Mall and Pulantubig Gymnasium.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that 16, 556 residents have already received complete doses of the vaccine, including those who were inoculated with the single dose Janssen jabs.
For his part, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo secured additional 11, 500 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government that were shipped directly to Dumaguete City to accelerate the efforts to achieve herd immunity at the soonest possible time.
Of the 24, 138 eligible residents vaccinated: 2, 273 are medical frontliners or (A1); 7, 094 senior citizens (A2); 7, 377 persons with comorbidities (A3); 5, 992 frontline personnel (A4) and 1, 402 indigents (A5) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
