Councilor Lilani Ramon, Chairperson on Economic Enterprise, Trade and Industry, presided Thursday’s meeting with senior member Councilor Manuel Patrimonio.
The owners of GEU building earlier sent a petition to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for a favorable endorsement of their application before the Philippine Economic Zone Authority to convert it into an IT Building.
Petitioners Gregorio Uymatiao III and Kimberly Claire Uymatiao, who appeared before the Committee, clarified that the about 2 floors of the said building will be utilized as a possible operations of a call center.
The Committee on Rules chaired by Councilor Michael Bandal with Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino also participated in the meeting to discuss the petition before it shall be presented to the Sanggunian Panlungsod for approval.
Also present in Friday’s meeting were City Legal Officer Manuel Arbon, City Assessor Pacifico Bulado Jr., City Treasurer Cristina Merced and Assistant City Treasurer Leonidasa C. Oira who served as resource speakers.
