The City Health Marshals conduct daily patrols to enforce the protocols against COVID-19 as a means to prevent an upsurge of cases even as Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has secured more vaccine supplies to accelerate the inoculation of more eligible residents.
City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas and City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla lead separate teams to disperse unauthorized mass gatherings, impose the 10:00 PM curfew and enforce health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and detained for defying the local health protocols and the curfew.
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, City Administrator’s Office, Business Permit Section, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, Department Trade Industry, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Bureau of Fire Protection and Public Information Office.
