“The City of Dumaguete is humbled by this year’s recognition as the Outstanding City Nutrition Council. As we have had similar awards or recognitions in the past. We also recognize and congratulate the three Dumaguete barangays and the barangay officials namely Barangays Balugo, Cantil-e, and Tabuc-tubig with their barangay captains and the members of the Barangay Nutrition Council — their nutrition scholars.”
“And these awards are strong testaments of the cooperation of the community, and the leadership of the City Nutrition Action Officer Lourdes Taburaza, who actively spearheaded the City Nutrition Council and the City Nutrition Office to a consistent hard work and dedication to the health and nutrition of every citizen of the city of Dumaguete. The key to a healthy mind is good nutrition of the citizenry starting from childhood and up to the time that they are adults already.”
“Rest assured, we will continue to support all activities and affairs of the nutrition office and the City Nutrition Council by consistently and increasing our financial support or the budget. Unfortunately, for the past two years because of the pandemic we could not pursue or activate our NutriFit Walk, which we have been doing for the past several years, wherein the citizens and all sectors have actively participated and contributed their funds for the health and nutrition of our residents of Dumaguete.”
“Hopefully, after the pandemic, we will resume and we will reactivate this program because this is one of the most supported and attended NutriFit Walk in the history of our city. So, thanks to —again to the National Nutrition Council for this award and support to our local City Nutrition Council.”
“Thank you very much and see you next year for a similar award. Thank you!”
