The City Health Office reports 3 new COVID-19 cases with 2 recoveries and 1 death, Thursday.
Hence, since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to August 12, 2021 there are 50 active COVID cases; 2, 766 recoveries and 80 deaths.
The 3 new COVID-19 cases include a vendor, a government employee of another town and a resident of Barangay Talay.
Meanwhile, the 2 new recoveries include a government official with history of travel and an 82-year-old resident of Barangay Mangnao.
The latest fatality from COVID-19 is an 81-year-old hospital patient whose remains have already been cremated within the prescribed period.
Of the 50 active COVID cases: 23 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 10 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 3 are admitted at NOPH; 4 are confined at ACE Doctors; 3 at Holy Child Hospital; 4 at Negros Polymedic Hospital; 2 are health workers isolated in an accredited facility and 1 is presently outside of Dumaguete City.
