The additional shipment of 5, 000 vials of Sinovac was received today by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla to help accelerate the COVID-19 immunization of more eligible residents under A1 (medical frontliners), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (persons with comorbidity) and A4 (frontline personnel).
Mayor Remollo, who made requests for more COVID-19 vaccines before the National IATF and DOH-7, lauded the national government for sending fresh supply to the city that can inoculate more eligible and registered residents in the waiting list.
About 30, 000 eligible residents have so far been inoculated against COVID-19 by the City Health Office and medical volunteers with Sinovac, Astrazeneca and Janssen vaccines.
