Local Health Marshals under the supervision of City Executive Assistant for Security Concerns retired General Rey Lyndon Lawas increased their visibility and monitoring of violators of the minimum health standards against COVID-19.
The main objective of the daily street patrols is to apprehend violators of health protocols including non-wearing of face masks; failure to observe physical distancing and mass gatherings.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and detained for defying the local health protocols and the 10:00PM curfew.
The Health Marshals are composed of personnel from the City Health Office, Philippine National Police, Traffic Management Office, Special Enforcement Unit, City Administrator’s Office, Department Trade Industry, City Social Welfare and Development Office and Bureau of Fire Protection.
