Some 16, 175 eligible residents have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of July 30, 2021 by the City Health Office and several medical volunteers in the 2 vaccination sites in Robinson Mall and Pulantubig Gymnasium. The number includes about 681 residents who were vaccinated last July 30, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that 10, 172 have already received their 2nd dose of Sinovac and Astrazeneca jabs while 1, 232 were inoculated with the single dose Janssen vaccines.
Nevertheless, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo will still continue to request for additional supply of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government to be shipped directly to Dumaguete City to achieve herd immunity at the soonest possible time.
Of the 16, 175 eligible residents vaccinated: 1, 919 are medical frontliners or (A1); 6, 269 senior citizens (A2); 4, 610 persons with comorbidities (A3) and 3, 377 frontline personnel (A4) were inoculated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
