Eleven (11) barangays reported zero active COVID-19 cases while 11 others are managing just 1 or 2 active cases as of August 1, 2021.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also reported to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that the number of active COVID-19 cases has declined to just 50 cases from a peak of 651 in mid-June.
The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients has also dropped to just 19 whose conditions required admission.
But, Mayor Remollo reiterated the continued vigilance of the authorities in implementing the health protocols and acceleration of the vaccination of eligible population to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
The following is the distribution of the 50 active COVID-19 cases which are now isolated and/or under treatment:
Bagacay (2), Bajumpandan (0), Balugo (1), Banilad (2), Bantayan (2), Batinguel (4), Buñao (3), Cadawinonan (0), Calindagan (3), Camanjac (1), Candau-ay (2), Cantil-e (0), Daro (5), Junob (2), Looc (2), Mangnao (5), Motong (2), Piapi (7), Poblacion 1 (0), Poblacion 2 (0), Poblacion 3 (0), Poblacion 4 (0), Poblacion 5 (0), Poblacion 6 (0), Poblacion 7 (0), Poblacion 8 (1), Pulantubig (1), Tabuc-tubig (1), Taclobo (4) and Talay (0).
Of the 50 active COVID cases: 31 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 9 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 3 are admitted at NOPH; 2 are confined at ACE Doctors; 3 at Holy Child Hospital and 2 at Negros Polymedic Hospital.
